This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you join our waitlist, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable Indian law.

By submitting your details on this page, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described below.

When you sign up for our waitlist, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)

We do not collect any other personal data through this page at this time.

2. Why We Collect This Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Notify you about The Botanistry's launch, product availability, and early access opportunities
  • Send updates, offers, and brand communications you may have opted into
  • Improve our launch planning based on waitlist interest

We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what is stated here without seeking fresh consent.

3. Your Consent

By submitting the waitlist form, you provide explicit consent for us to collect, store, and process your name, email, and (if provided) phone number for the purposes described in Section 2. You may withdraw this consent at any time (see Section 7).

4. How Your Data Is Stored and Processed

Your information is collected and stored using Klaviyo, a third-party marketing and email platform that acts as our data processor. Klaviyo may store data on servers located outside India. We have taken reasonable steps to ensure Klaviyo maintains appropriate security and confidentiality standards for the personal data it processes on our behalf. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with any other third party for unrelated commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or until you withdraw your consent or request deletion, whichever is earlier.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Request erasure of your personal data, where applicable
  • Raise a grievance regarding how your data has been handled

This waitlist is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as we transition to our full e-commerce store. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our waitlist after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
